On February 9, Leadership Loudoun Class of 2017 met with Virginia legislators at the General Assembly in Richmond to discuss significant issues affecting Loudoun County including education, safety in schools, opioid drug use, transportation, public safety, and taxes.
Among those attending the bipartisan program included Sen. Barbara Favola (D-31), Sen. Jennifer Wexton (D-33), Del. Tag Greason (R-32), Del. Dave LaRock (R-33), Del. Randy Minchew (R-10) and Del. Kathleen Murphy (D-34).
“Leadership Loudoun participants witness the legislative process close-up and are afforded the rare opportunity to interact directly with Loudoun’s state elected officials in real-time to discuss a wide-range of legislative initiatives as the issues of the day affecting Loudoun County, the region and the Commonwealth are being debated in the Virginia House of Delegates and the Virginia Senate.”
