Brent “Buddha” George is the founder, President & CEO of Buddha George Consulting Inc. (BGCI). BGCI is a National Security management and leadership consulting firm specializing in providing companies executive-level, uniquely qualified advice, insights, and guidance to inspire focused and innovative solutions for Intelligence Community (IC) & Department of Defense (DoD) missions. Brent guides relationships between government and private sector contractors to drive industry-government engagements and connections for efficient, value-added results. His firm specializes in advanced technology solutions for the best strategic value investments.
Brent completed a distinguished 25-year Navy career where he served as a Major Defense Acquisition Program Manager, Test Pilot, Source Selection Authority, and Fee Determining Official. He has extensive experience in all facets of cutting edge technology development, portfolio, and systems acquisition management. He is an expert in the acquisition, planning, design, development, engineering, test and evaluation, and operation of aircraft, spacecraft, complex sensor platforms and associated ground systems. Brent is a talented communicator, collaborator, and team builder with over 16 years of aviation experience and over 20 years experience driving the state of the art in space, airborne, and ground based Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance systems.
Brent earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD; a Master of Science in Aviation Systems and Flight Research from the University of Tennessee Space Institute, Tullahoma, TN; and a Master of Business Administration in Aviation with Distinction (Summa Cum Laude) from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, FL. He also earned his Project Management Professional certification. Brent is a 2016 graduate of the Leadership Loudoun program.
Brent serves as a volunteer Commissioner with Loudoun County, VA’s Economic Development Advisory Commission and is a member of their Executive leadership team and he serves as the At-Large Director with the Board of Directors for the Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative (NOVEC). In his spare time, Brent is a PADI Scuba Instructor teaching Veterans and others how to scuba dive.
He lives with his wife, Kelly, in South Riding, VA. Brent has two sons who are Hokies at Virginia Tech and another son who is a Junior at Freedom High School.
